My Analysis and Thoughts about Other Group's Debates

Hello guys!

Today's post will be my thoughts and opinions about my class' group debates from a few weeks ago. We're learning how to give proper opinion and thoughts about a certain topic in our daily activities. This post will be my analysis and thoughts towards other group's debate.

1st Group's Topic : Should the Government Nationalize Freeport?

Pro : 
Freeport can do more in helping to build infrastructure facilities in Papua. Infrastrutures development in Papua is not evenly distributed and Freeport has helped build roads in Mimika regency and it can help in the development in other parts of Papua like Marauke.

Contra : 
In certain expertise, like explosive handling are still handled by Filipinos because Indonesians are not as capable. Our leaders, cabinet members, governors, and local leaders are still greedy and cannot control themselves, then the nationalisation would be counterproductive.
My Opinion : 
Nationalization is possible but it needs process and time. We still need to straighten and fix state-owned companies and create a system that stops officials from working for their own personal gain.

2nd Group's Topic : The Price of Eggs is Rising because of Idul Fitri

Pro :
The increasing price gave bigger profit to farmers and egg reseller. Especially Idul Fitri is a big day where people need more income

Contra :
As the result of this increase, some eggshell sellers are empty with buyers and some buyers are forced to buy eggs.

My Opinion : 
These skyrocketing price sometimes necessary because when Idul Fitri or other religion big day, people tends to buy ingredients in a big amount.

3rd Group's Topic : WHO Declaring that Gaming is Addictive

Pro :
Gamers that are addictive to game can drop out from school & other negative things

 Contra :
Gaming can help you get better vision and make you happy. WHO’s survey isn’t specific gaming also have a social impact 

 My Opinion :
I think games sometimes can be addictive to us but its up to us to make those games addictive or not. If we can control ourselves when playing games, we can still completed homework.

Blood Falls Blood Falls, named for its ruddy color, is not in fact a gush of blood from some unseen wound. The color was initially chalked up to red algae, but a study in the Journal of Glaciology has uncovered its true origin using radar to scan the layers of ice from which the river pours. Located in Antarctica’s McMurdo Dry Valleys, the falls pour forth from Taylor Glacier, and the liquid bubbles up from fissures in the glacier’s surface. The flow was previously a mystery, as the mean temperature is 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (-17 degrees Celsius) and little glacial melting can be seen at the surface. The longstanding mystery surrounding Antarctica's Blood Falls has finally been solved. The deep red falls were first discovered in Antarctica in 1911 where scientists noticed a river had stained the surrounding cliff of ice with a dark red color. Previously, they had believed it was due to algae discoloring the water, however that hypothesis was never verified.

Invitation Card: Olivia and John's Rehearsal Dinner.

Hello guys! Today I'm going to tell you about my group's creation which is an invitation card. At school we're learning about invitations, so we made an invitation card as part of the learning process.  The theme of our invitation card is Olivia and John's Rehearsal Dinner. A rehearsal dinner is a pre-wedding ceremony in the United States tradition, usually held after the wedding rehearsal and the night before the wedding ceremony. The guests generally include the married-to-be couple and others who form the wedding party. The rehearsal dinner costs are traditionally incurred by the groom's parents. However, modern traditions allow for either the bride's or the groom's parents to incur these costs. The purpose of the rehearsal dinner is for the relatives and friends of the bride and groom to meet and have a good time.
